From Starch: Pasta
Making fresh pasta at home is easier than you think, and it tastes so much better than store-bought! I’m going to walk you through my step-by-step method, including tools I use (along with my favorite pasta attachment & kitchen tools) and a few tips to make this fun and stress-free.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
Pinch of salt
Optional: a sprinkle of Chef’s Blend seasoning for extra flavor
Let’s Make the Dough
With the flour, create a well in the center. (photo 1.)
Crack all the eggs into the center of the well, add a pinch of salt, oil, and beat just the eggs with a fork. (photo 2 & 3.)
Gradually incorporate the flour into the eggs until a dough forms. (photo 4.)
Knead the Dough
Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.
Roll the Pasta
Divide the dough into smaller portions. (photo 5)
Use a pasta attachment or rolling pin to roll each portion to your desired thickness. (photo 6)
Cut & Cook
Cut the pasta into your preferred shape with a dough cutter or knife. Place on a sheet pan. (fettuccine, tagliatelle, etc.).
Boil in salted water for 2–3 minutes or until al dente.
Drain and toss with your favorite sauce. ( Chef’s tomato garden sauce )

💡 Pro Tip: Sprinkle a little Chef’s Blend right into the dough before rolling it into pasta. This gives it flavor throughout the entire pasta.
